Escherichia coli in hospitalised patients
 

Patients with an existing E.coli infection were found to be colonised with ESBL-producing E.coli in their gut as an endogenous microflora. Since the endogenous microflora (gut) could be a source of infection, strict hygiene and infection control practices are warranted.

Obese Youth Can Benefit from Strength Training
 

This study found that resistance training improved pro-inflammatory adipocytokine levels in obese youth. Its results emphasise the importance of including aerobic capacity and muscular strength when prescribing exercise to obese youth.
