Prevalence and patterns of hearing loss among chronic kidney disease patients undergoing haemodialysis |
|
|
Patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) have a high prevalence of sensorineural hearing loss. Hearing loss is more obvious in the elderly and in patients who have received fewer haemodialysis sessions. This study suggests that CKD patients on haemodialysis should be screened for early detection of hearing loss. Photo by Freedigitalphotos
