Whole Body DWIBS MRI versus Bone Scan for evaluating skeletal metastases |
Due to economic constraints in developing nations, not all patients can afford the costly cancer treatment and imaging assessment. Advanced Imaging with PET-CT and bone scan therefore remains a distant dream. This study suggests that DWIBS MRI promises a viable alternative to this necessity. Picture by Freedigitalphotos

Respiratory knowledge discovery utilising expertise |
Significant amounts of medical data are being archived, in the hope that they can be analysed and provide insight. A critical problem with analysing such data is the amount of existing knowledge required to produce effective results. This study tests a method that seeks to overcome these problems with analysis, by testing it over a large set of archived lung function test results. A knowledge base of lung function interpretation expertise has been compiled and serves as a base for analysis. Picture by FreedigitalPhotos

Multiculturalism and inconsistency in the perception of sexual education in Australian society |
Research indicates effective sex education requires parental involvement. Schools remain major networks of human development. With the right support from government, non-government organisations, religious groups and local communities, schools can achieve successful programs. Planning sex education programs involves multidisciplinary skills and pragmatic partnerships. Basic elements of successful education programs in a modern Australian society require knowledge of Australian diverse cultures and related beliefs about sex education. Picture by Freedigitalphotos
