Factors Influencing Food Choices.

The group of young people in this study was conscious of health, but issues of long term health did not greatly impact on their food choices. Analysis shows that these young people, despite being educated are not generally reflexive in regards to food choice, food safety or quality and instead have confidence in the food system to provide a safe product and are therefore, content to take risks with food choice and health.

Mobility, Attitudes and HIV

The role of mobile populations in the spread of HIV has been documented in several countries worldwide. This study highlights how people who experience long absence from their families, have multiple sexual partners and low condom use, form a high risk group for contracting and spreading HIV/AIDS. Attitudes and sexual practices are explored in one occupational group.
