Effect of Medical Thrombrophylaxis on Mortality
 

The effect of medical thromboprophylaxis on mortality is uncertain. This study suggests that the likely mortality gain from reduced fatal pulmonary embolism is offset, and may be exceeded, by increased mortality from major haemorrhage.
